Head Of Governance & Control recruitment
Working in the retail banking business the Head Of Governance and Control is responsible for ensuring operational risk, governance and control of the COO function. Retail is an increasingly fast paced environment and the Bank want to ensure that the Governance team support and work collaboratively with the business to ensure new products are launched effectively with the appropriate Governance in support. Speed and accuracy is key as is the customer experience.
This is a very challenging role, the candidate will work strategically as well as operationally. Carry out top level reviews and be responsible for deciding what information from group re - regulation affects the bank and needs to be implemented. Anticipate the regulatory needs of the business and build a customer facing Governance function that works with the business.
The desired candidate will have a proven track record in a senior Governance position, managed a sizeable team and worked in a leadership role. This role is both strategic and operational in setting the strategy and ensuring operational risk management is always practical, effective and enhances the customer experience.
The business is fast paced and the team need to be quick to move to find solutions. Consequently candidates that have worked in businesses that have had experience of launching digital products, Insurance, Utilities where the business is product lead but heavily regulated are of significant interest.
