Head of Governance & Reporting, Technology
We are looking for someone who can work in a large financial institution at group level. Reporting to the COO, this role will lead a team to deliver efficient, consistent and timely Technology-wide governance, performance/regulatory reporting, funding/pricing and process design/management.
This role will also evaluate and direct the Technology Division's alignment with COBIT 5, ensure appropriate quality standards are met, and simplify governance and management forums for effective decision making.
It is also required to design and deliver in conjunction with the Technology Business Unit Heads CIOs an effective commercial performance reporting process to drive the right behaviours and accountabilities across Technology.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Measure and manage consolidated Technology financial MIS
- Design, establish/ deploy and maintain a pricing model for Technology services
- Set and maintain the Technology Governance Framework
- Define and communicate governance of IT principles that will guide the design of governance and management decision making of IT.
- Establish governance structures, processes and practices in line with agreed-on design principles.
- Provide agreed services across and outside of Technology (eg Boards, Regulators, Business Partners) within SLA's
- Monitor the effectiveness and performance of the enterprise's governance of IT.
- Update the IT FY Operating plan to align to governance principles and ensure prioritised processes achieve FY target maturity ratings
- Conduct regular independent reviews of progress to operational plans, progress against maturity targets uplift for COBIT and progress against maturity targets uplift for SDLC
- Embed reporting mechanisms to provide those responsible for oversight and decision-making with appropriate information.
This role works at a very senior level and as such needs someone with 10 years commercial IT risk governance experience. It is imperative that the person who wins this role has a thorough understanding of the governance requirements around technology, not just in Australia but across the globe, particularly in Asia. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of COBIT5.
