My client is a well-established property insurance specialist and they are currently looking for an experienced Head of Group Compliance. My client consists of a number of different businesses operating across six sites, offering truly specialist, tailored services to targeted customer groups.

 

Profile

The Head of Group Compliance, in conjunction with their team, will be responsible for the establishment and maintenance of effective best practices which promote a commitment to compliance standards and other relevant regulatory requirements. The primary focus of this role will be to lead the Group Compliance Function.

Within the role you will be required to:

develop, initiate, maintain, and revise policies and procedures
manage day-to-day operation of the Group Compliance Function
continually assess and reassess compliance risks within the business
advise all business units, central functions and management on compliance policy and procedures
manage and develop direct reports and, where appropriate, prepare and deliver of facilitate training

The ideal candidate will:

Must have a minimum 5 years’ experience within a regulatory environment within general insurance
have previous experience of implementing new procedures and regulations demonstrate effective time and workload management
have a good understanding of the Insurance Broking market
have the ability to gain support of Senior Management, through pragmatic decision making, reasoned argument and professionalism
communicate clearly and effectively
be organised with a flexible approach to work
work effectively under pressure
be reliable and able to adapt to changing circumstances

This role will involve travelling between various offices throughout the UK.

 

Salary: Circa £60K DOE + Benefits Bonuses
