Job Summary
Responsible for development and implementation of effective HR strategies and initiatives which provides full HR and training policies and services to ensure availability and effective management of human resources in the Bank. This involves organizing, integrating and directing all human resources activities, leading the China HR team for quality delivery of HR services, which support the overall business strategies and objectives.
Act as the HR Country Coordinator of China supporting all entities (where the bank is the major shareholder) in China in the implementation of the Group Policies and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and prioritize key HR issues based on the Bank’s overall strategies and objectives. Plan and direct the development and implementation of HR initiatives to contribute to achieving objectives of the Bank.
Provide HR perspectives into the development of the Bank’s strategy and objectives, and maintain a “hands-on” focus in delivering solutions to business problems.
Work with senior management to determine the Bank’s objectives in areas of reward management; staff engagement, retention and development; performance management; talent development and succession planning. Develop all human resources policies and practices that align to these objectives.
Provide quality services in all HR transactional activities by monitoring and managing performance of HR team, and providing coaching and motivation.
Regularly evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of human resources practices, processes and procedures and initiate measures for effective build-up of HR infrastructure, improvement in operational efficiency and operational risk control.
Serve as employee advocate to ensure internal equity and promote good people management practices, as well as provide coaching and feedback to management and/or line managers on people and change management.
Keep abreast of legal requirements and regulators’ reporting regulations affecting human resources management and ensure all policies and practices are in compliance with legislative requirements.
