Head of Information Security Strategy recruitment
Reporting in to the Global Head of Information Security, this role provides and maintains the technology and information security risk management framework, including supporting processes, controls, templates, tools and libraries to ensure a consistent risk management approach. The role also leads a centralised team that provides specialist security consulting and assurance to project teams for new or enhanced technology.
As the Head of Information Security Strategy you will be responsible for the development, delivery and maintenance of the Information Security strategy and roadmap, including supporting frameworks and tools, that:
- Align Information Security and Technology strategy
- drive improvements in information security risk management capabilitie
- enable business growth objectives
- align with the enterprise security architecture
- ensure new and existing business solutions incorporate appropriate information security controls
- this includes a core focus on developing strategy around: staff and customer identification and verification, data security, cyber security and fraud, cryptography, infrastructure and application security
As the lead Security strategist, you will also be required to gather and report on threat intelligence, assess the current and merging threat environment to identify key risks to the company, providing insight to the Information Security Office to determine the strategic response to threats and incidents, and ensure appropriate tools, procedures response plans are in place.
This role will also provide security project sponsorship and oversight and be a key decision maker when it comes to the approval of the provision of security architecture and provide information security and technology assurance over the operations of third party service providers.
The ideal person for this role will already be in a similar position within another large enterprise, be they within the FSI or otherwise. This role may also suit a Lead or Principal Security Architect who is looking to step up in to a more strategic/ senior role.
