Head of Infrastructure Operations – VP recruitment
The Infrastructure Operations team supports the day-to-day and governs the Core Infrastructure Platform that provides a full suite of technology services such as Network, Storage, Operating Systems and Security systems.
Main Duties:
• Reports to the Head of Infrastructure as the key leader in supporting business and service delivery
• Responsible for the quality delivery of global infrastructure operations to end users
• Accountable for the integrity of the standards processes to be in compliance with internal policies
• Accountable for the governance of services provided by the Operations team
• Lead and mentor teams of Level 2-3 analysts and engineers to an integrated operating environment
• Engage and foster strong partnership and teamwork with business users, peers and colleagues
• Drive innovation and creative and initiatives that benefits the business and organization
• Define and manage key ITSM processes such as Change, Release and Problem Management
• Define and manage key practices procedures upholding process and policy alignment
• Refine and recommend optimization of policies and processes to drive proficient practices
• Identify and escalate operations incidents into problem management
• Monitor issues under problem management for closure with Level 4 Engineering
• Monitor and report project issues, operation incidents and problems and ensure accountability
• Co-Chair the weekly Operations Change meetings and approve change requests and releases
• Participate and lead operations, projects and relevant management committee meetings
• Lead audit and regulatory inspections, and ensure successful closures of unbiased observations
Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years’ working experience with at least 5 years of hands-on in the following areas;
- Operations – Level 2 data centre processing operations
- Operations – Level 3 operations for Windows, UNIX, Storage, Network, Security
- Network – Layer 2-3 concepts, such as switching and routing in OSPF
- System – Layer 4-5 concepts, such as DDNS, LDAP, NIS+, NTLM, Kerberos, GPOs etc
- Storage – Layer 4-5 concepts, such as iSCSI, FCP, CIFS, NFS and NDMP protocols
- Security – Fundamental concepts in Governance, Risk and Compliance
- Office Automation – Backend IP Video Telephony, Networked File Print services etc.
• Minimum 3 years of proven leadership in financial, healthcare or similar industry in managing Technology Operations.
• Applied knowledge of ITIL V3 or 2011 at Intermediate Level
• Applied knowledge of risk management and role segregation in a regulated environment
• Customer oriented mind set with proficient and effective communication skills
• Willingness in taking on new challenges and venture beyond existing knowledge or exposure
• Ability to use discretion in enforcing process procedures in the course of managing the team
• Ability to identify and rationalize the implementation approach and operating environment
