Head of Internal Audit, APAC (Asset Management) recruitment
RESPONSIBILITIES
Internal Audit
- Support the Global Head of Internal Audit in providing the Group with a robust independent appraisal service, covering all aspects of Group’s operations.
- Perform all work undertaken in line with the department methodology and contribute to the development of methodology to ensure that the service provided continually improves and represents best practice in accordance with Institute of Internal Audit Charter.
- Take full ownership for a number of functional and service tasks as assigned by the Head of Internal Audit this includes ensuring key matters are reported timeously to the Global Head of Internal Audit for inclusion in key departmental reporting mechanisms.
- Develop and utilise own quality control mechanisms for both audit and team management.
- Provide reports to Group management and the Audit Committee periodically and as and when requested summarising as necessary the finding arising from audits, the status and performance against agreed plans.
- Assess and rank the risks through audit work and take account of these in shaping audit plans and report findings.
- Make recommendations on the systems and procedures being reviewed, report on the findings and recommendations and monitor management's response and implementation.
- Keep abreast of changes in regulations, legislation and good practice within the Internal Audit field, and to disseminate this information as appropriate within the business.
- Promoting continuous improvement of controls and the management of risk across the business through the maintenance and development of ongoing relationships with different areas and various stakeholders.
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of both the company, business and service developments and disseminate this to staff as appropriate.
- Undertake such other duties commensurate with my position as may be requested from time to time.
- Promote the service of the Internal Audit department to management and staff throughout the Group.
Risk Management
- Ensure that the risk management framework is adequately documented, operated and management information mechanisms are in place to monitor/report on the quality/use of the framework.
- Ensure the audit process takes account of the Groups Risk Management Framework.
- Identify the risks, controls, control issues and process improvements issues in line with audit plan on the Group's Risk Management Framework.
Team Management
- Manage all Asia Pacific staff as appropriate and have oversight in relation to audit plan for region assigned across the entire team that relate to your assigned tasks.
- Actively contribute to team success by continually analysing performance against targets and distributing best practice throughout the team.
- Undertake such other duties commensurate with my position as may be requested from time to time.
- Promote the service of the department to management and staff throughout the Group.
REQUIREMENTS
- Certified Internal Auditor or CPA
- A good Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business or equivalent
- At least 7 years of Internal Audit Experience in Financial Institutions and Banks
- Working knowledge across all Asset Classes (Fixed Income products, Equities, Real Estate, etc)
