Head of Internal Audit recruitment
Our client is a highly regarded player in the regional utilities sector with an excellent market position and sound business based in the UAE. Primarily active within the GCC, they are growing quickly with well established global locations.
As the organisation continues to expand, they have developed the need to appoint a Head of Internal Audit to set up, implement and lead the company’s new Internal Audit function. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting operational audits and then monitoring, assessing and analysing the processes and controls of the group in order to improve the group's operations and revenue. As the head of the team, you will initially be working by yourself, reporting directly to the Board’s Audit Committee and expected to grow the team over a period of time.
The successful candidate will:
- Be at least a Director or equivalent with international internal auditing experience
- Possess previous internal audit experience whilst working in an industrial business
- Hold a professional accounting or auditing qualification – such as a CPA, CIA or equivalent
- Have in-depth knowledge of internal audit standards, internal controls, business processes and IFRS
- Be excited about the opportunity to live and work in the UAE
