Head of Internal Audit recruitment
Offering a comprehensive range of individual life products, including protection and wealth accumulation products, my client is one of the leading players in the Hong Kong financial services market and is looking to appoint a experience Audit Head within their local Hong Kong office.
Reporting to the Regional Head of Audit, my client is seeking experienced candidates with excellent technical audit skills within the Insurance sector or financial services, who can demonstrate strong stakeholder management and the ability to leader and coach more junior staff.
Major Accountabilities -
- Coordinates with the Regional Audit Head in maintaining routine contact country Management and business process leaders to ensure effective and accurate flow of information that would facilitate the assessment of risk for the Report on Controls
- Reviews and consolidates support and summarization for the draft ROC to be submitted to the Regional Audit Head
- Prepares regular audit status summary reports for the Regional Audit Head, as well as, performance against plan and any remedial action requirements.
- Performs internal audit work as appropriate.
- Review of all draft audit reports and second-level review and approval of workpapers in Teammate.
- This job will be based in Hong Kong, and occasional travel (5-10%)
Abilities -
- Fully competent in performing audits
- Applies in-depth awareness of business functions and products
- Applies in-depth knowledge of internal audit methodology, and Internal Audit policies and procedures
Education and Experience required -
- College or University degree in Accounting or Auditing
- Qualification as a CPA or Chartered Accountant
- Has earned CIA (Certified Internal Audit) qualification or a CISA qualification or a CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner)
- 10 - 12 years experience in Audit (external or internal), at least 5 years of which involved managing the work of Audit professionals
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent Cantonese Mandarin (highly regarded)
