Head of Investment Communications

Our client is a reputable Investment Management house, who is currently seeking an Investment Content Manager to join the Corporate Marketing and Communications function of the business. The role holder will have principle responsibility of managing a UK based team of investment writers and senior editors and will also provide strategic guidance of the business content publishing organisation in line with its US based counterparts. The Investment Content Manager will lead a regional team with the responsibility of drafting, editing and publishing global investment content aimed at the clients of the business as well as prospective clients within the institutional, intermediary and individual markets. Furthermore the Content Manager will also provide editorial oversight of the team’s publications as well as producing content on an as-needed basis.

Key responsibilities:

• Actively providing strategic leadership, editorial support and supporting professional development to a team of investment writers and senior editors, ensuring team objectives as well as the goals of the business function are met.
• Delivering guidance and oversight in the creation, development and distribution of investment information to internal and external audiences.
• Overseeing the activities of the group, including coordination of workflow, defining content requirements and giving direction to support staff and writers.
• Fostering and managing relationships within associated functions including Corporate Marketing, Investment Management, Web Analytics, Investment Reporting, Creative Design, Legal, Treasury and others.
• Maintaining solid relationships across the business, utilizing them to help support and communicate editorial governance and consistent messaging.
• Working towards ensuring that investment content is treated as a strategic asset to the business, allowing for a free flow of investment content across the enterprise through a flexible structure.
• Ensuring the delivery of content that directly supports retention and acquisition efforts world wide as well as enhancing awareness of the business brand and building client experience.

As a suitable candidate for this role will have extensive experience in managing investment communication efforts for a leading, multi-site business, ideally within the financial services or the publishing/media industry. You will have an FSA designation, with working knowledge and understanding of the institutional marketplace and global investment markets. The ability to manage the development and delivery of web based communications using previous experience gained with digital and interactive media and content management systems is also required for this position.
