HEAD OF INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT recruitment
Main Scope of Duties and Responsibilities:
*Overall responsibility for management of a significant proprietary investment portfolio, comprising mainly FI, Corporate and Government Debt, and Alternatives.
*Building a team of best-of-breed resources in the relevant asset classes.
*Responsibility for management of the bank's net free capital of around $ 2 billion.
*Continuously identifying investment opportunities for existing and new asset portfolios.
*Responsibility for preparation of sound business proposals, investment memoranda, portfolio performance and periodical review reports.
*Networking with reputed financial institutions and fund managers with a view to identifying market opportunities and feedback, and enhancing the reputation of the bank by creating a professional image.
*Overall responsibility for compliance with sound risk management principles for the bank's investment activities.
*Overall responsibility for effective co-ordination with the other business and support areas of the bank.
*Responsibility for continuous professional development of self and subordinates.
*Responsible of all administrative and middle office functions within Treasury and Investment Management.
*Responsible for applying the banks reports and activities regarding Internal Audit, Compliance Operations.
*Responsible for initiating and updating all the relevant bank policies.
*Membership and pro-active contribution to ALCO and other management committees.
Minimum Qualifications Experience Requirements:
*Post-graduate degree in Banking/Finance or a relevant quantitative discipline from a leading international university.
*MBA/CFA preferred.
*Minimum 10 years directly relevant experience, of which at least 5 years as Senior Portfolio Manager, Head of Investments, or Chief Investment Officer in a highly reputable organization.
