Head of Investment Monitoring – Malaysia recruitment
Circa RM35,000 - RM50,000 per month - Based in KL
The business is a group of companies with a global portfolio of investments spanning across multiple industries including Oil Gas, Telco, Property, Leisure Industry and Broadcasting. The regions that the group operates include South East Asia, Africa, America and Europe.
Reporting directly to the Group CFO you will provide analysis on the performance and capital structure of the group investments and operating companies to support representative directors of the companies as well as key decisions making by the group’s board.
This is a senior role that requires you to understand the business requirements (across all or most business units), conduct analysis and prepare proposals to monitor company’s current and future investment plans. You will prepare complex financial analysis reports and models on due diligence investigations of subsidiary companies and give financial advice accordingly to the Board members and senior management. It is important that you can conduct the relevant risk analysis operational information (actual vs budget, performance vs industry.) You will be expected to go on and build a team of analysts to service the business in each of their business sectors.
The candidate will be a qualified CFA/Accountant with working experience in at least two related fields required for this position (Oil Gas, Telco, Property, Leisure Industry and Broadcasting). Preferably your back round will be as a Senior Executive/Manager with practical experience as a Banking Analyst, Industry Sector Analyst, credit rating agency or from a risk backround. You must have regional exposure with a global outlook being preferred as will candidates with an operational experience in one or more of the sectors. Returning Malaysian from overseas would be welcomed by the business.
