Head of IT Architecture – Infrastructure & Operations – Major Insurance and Pensions provider – London – £100,000 + bens + bonus recruitment
The role holder will define the architectural direction across a number of technologies and Business units, ensuring solutions satisfy the customer requirements and deliver competitive advantages. They will have to work closely with very senior business heads in the UK and the US to ensure consistency of the architectural direction.
Essential requirements include:
- Established experience of operating in a highly technical and senior role in an IT infrastructure function
- In depth knowledge of a wide variety of technologies including experience of operating systems, networks, data centres, capacity planning etc.
- Proven experience writing reports and presenting to a varied audience including senior stakeholders
- Keeping abreast of technical developments and trends - applying them to the business problems and challenges
