Head of IT / CTO – City, £100k - £140k + bonus + bens
Growing fund and investment management firm is actively seeking a Head of IT / CTO to provide tactical and strategic input into their application and infrastructure landscape. Driven by a combination of regulatory changes, business growth and product development, the Head of IT will work at executive level influencing the role of technology in the growth of the business.
The organisation offers an informal working environment with a very collaborative culture and will suit an engaging, flexible and dynamic character. Working alongside key stakeholders within the operations and investment teams underpins the role and provides a genuine influence into change.
The successful Head of IT / CTO will have the following skills and experience:
- Management of a multi disciplinary team across application development, architecture, infrastructure and PM / BA functions
- Experience of active management in projects, engagement with the business, business analysis, system implementation within a rapidly growing and changing business
- Management of IT teams of between 15 – 30 heads
- Ownership of strategy and budget (approx. £2 - £3 million p.a.)
- An open and approachable attitude
- Fund management experience, ideally in a fast growing and dynamic environment
Using these skills, the duties of the role are:
- Ownership of IT Architecture and Infrastructure
- Management of a team of 20 plus contract resources
- Leadership across a changing regulatory environment
- Working alongside the COO and executive team
