One of the leading care home providers in the UK is currently seeking a high performing head of IT who thrives in a dynamic working environment and who wishes to contribute to the continued success and growth of the company.
Health care experience would be ideal. You must be able to demonstrate good project management techniques and have strong communication skills to manage cross functional projects. It is also essential that you can demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring all provide the best possible IT service and support throughout the Company.
Reporting to the Finance Director, your main responsibilities will be to develop, with the Board’s agreement, the IT Strategy for the Company reacting rapidly to dynamic, tactical business requirements necessary technical developments. You will manage the project planning process for the IT function, including defining business requirements, development, resources, timescales and costs, ensuring all project deadlines are achievable and achieved.
Key responsibilities
Services
· To understand the nature and ethos of the company's delivery of care services in both its business and care aspects, and to align the output of the IT team and the IT Strategy to support the delivery and management of care as well as the efficient functioning of the Our client business.
· Equip and support front line managers and staff to achieve best practice in the delivery of care to the residents of Homes.
Colleagues
· Be the primary advisor to the Executive team on IT and IT Strategy;
· Support the system users in homes and business functions ensuring they are properly served by the IT systems provided.
· Understand, and ensure the implementation of, the Company's Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures.
· Promote safe working practice within your work location.
· Ensure the security of your work location is maintained at all times.
· Adhere to all Company policies and procedures within the defined timescales.
Service performance
· Deliver and manage a robust and fit for purpose IT infrastructure and supporting services utilising best practice and appropriate standards.
· Ensure that appropriate best practice is used in the areas of solution analysis, solution definition, programme management and project management.
· Manage contracts and senior relationship with key suppliers including Coldharbour, First Software, Teqhou, Keylogic and Maxima as well as any other providers commissioned to deliver systems and services.
· Manage, develop and mentor managers and staff within the IT team such that there is sufficient breadth, depth and succession planning in place to ensure high quality IT delivery for our client.
· Manage the IT budget and proactively contribute to the annual budget process.
· Various other ad hoc duties as required to assist the Finance Director in the support of the management of services and functions within Our client and the overall delivery quality and excellence throughout the Company.
· Ensure that all information of a confidential nature gained in the course of work is not divulged to third parties or inappropriately within the Company.
