Head of IT - The role of Head of IT will see you working within a small friendly environment to help manage the companies internal IT infrastructure and to manage client networks that have been installed. You will be tasked with:
- Proactive approach to improving the reliability and performance of the company's email, server services, network and telephony infrastructure including cellular
- Ensuring full and timely processing of client service requests
- Design Authority for updated/new IT systems for our clients
- Maintaining efficient IT working practices within the company and ensure good communications with other members of the company to uphold the One Team' ethos.
- Offering support, technical expertise and training as required to support our team
- Representing the Company's best interests and upholding our values
Essential skills needed as follows:
o Microsoft Windows Operating Systems including Server 200X (including server setup and domain configuration from bare metal)
o Microsoft Exchange Server - install and configure from scratch
o Macintosh Operating Systems
o Virtualisation
o Data and system backup and restore including off-site backup
o Setting and enforcing operational policies
o Looking after internal strategic IT systems (e.g. email, Logistics, CRM, Client Records)
o Internet and Email communication
o Wide Area Networking
o Local Area Network including VLANs and Routing, conversant with sniffer/RMON usage
o Commonly used applications such as Microsoft Office
Desirable skills please show these on the CV:
o Linux operating systems
o Satellite communication systems (VSAT, Satellite TV)
o Telephone systems
