Head of IT Service Support / Service Delivery Manager / IT Operations Manager / Banking / City

Head of IT Service Support Manager required on a permanent basis working for a bank based in the City. This role will be managing teams of 15-20 people.

Salary - up to £85,000 per annum + benefits

Responsibilities:
§Stakeholder Management: Establish good working relationships with a range of key stakeholders including management, peers, direct reports and staff; management and teams in the Bank as a whole.

§Contract, License and Supplier Management: Proactively manage all relevant 3rd party contracts, and ensure an objective relationship with all partners or suppliers.

§Budget Management: Working closely with Finance, manage financial aspects of the IT infrastructure team including budgeting, monitoring of on-going expenditure versus budget and financial reporting.

§Process: Implement ITIL practices and procedures: Define and document IT Infrastructure procedures and standards, where these are not currently present and ensure that procedures are kept up to date and standards are complied with.

§Problem Management: Operate and own a formal problem management process across the IT support organisation.

§Project Management: Ensure that infrastructure project management follows standard project management disciplines; that a published list of active and planned projects is maintained and is communicated regularly for comment to IT peers.

§Governance and Risk Management: Ensure that the Bank's Infrastructure operates within the frameworks dictated by the Bank Information Security team and any/all external factors (e.g. PCI-DSS).

The successful candidate will have a good technical understanding and be able to converse with technical staff, and ideally a qualification in Microsoft, VMware or cisco.
