Head of KYC – Middle East recruitment

Our client is looking for someone with robust management, operational and project experience in line with the size and stakes of the function - which will be heavily focused on facing stakeholders and facilitating change.

This is a high profile position with senior level interaction and so requires a seasoned professional able to work with all areas and balance expectations of the various business functions. You will be overseeing the roll out of the new KYC infrastructure across the region in conjunction with Change Management resources, serving as a key point of escalation for stakeholders and project participants.

Ideally a background in wholesale banking with relevant experience in KYC, client on-boarding, or a customer risk management discipline. Alternatively or in addition, experience in a client support / service role would be a positive.

Your experience in interacting directly with senior business leaders and articulating problems/solutions at management level will be a key to the role. As will a good to strong understanding of the Compliance regulatory framework and its application to the wholesale banking environment - specific knowledge of AML a plus.

In addition to managing a small team locally, you will be expected to ensure that all regulatory and compliance requirements are met to approved quality standards in cooperation with the regional QA function.

International experience in working in different countries or relevant exposure to various environment / cultures is a pre-requisite.
