Institutional Banking Markets (IBM) is responsible for the provision of products and services to nearly 3000 major corporate, institutional and government clients. This is achieved through origination, structuring and execution of on and off balance sheet products that are enhanced through the efficient application of taxation, accounting, risk and capital management technologies. Institutional Banking Markets is the primary face to the market for all complex financing and advisory functions for the Bank's corporate and government clients.
Reporting to the GM Human Resources, you be responsible for providing strategic support to the business unit and delivering key Learning Organisational Development projects.
These responsibilities include:
- Provide strategic thinking and planning skills to deliver learning development strategies which will support the BU's achievement of current and future capability needs.
- Design a change management plan that will support organisational structure and re-design efforts
- Drive responsibility for the prioritisation, development, delivery and measurement of all learning across business unit (including sales, product, induction, compliance, professional and leadership capabilities)
- Determine the business unit specific capabilities (as different from Group) and integrate into the end-to-end people plan
- Contribute to the Group's LD product offering and operating model by bringing ideas, considerations and rationale that support a market leading and sustainable LD model
- Provide leadership, coaching and feedback to the dedicated LD team which report into this role to ensure quality, consistency and success of learning deliverables
- Translate and demonstrate strong commercial knowledge of business issues and market trends to ensure that the LD deliverables are aligned and that the knowledge of the team is up to date
- Active participate in leadership teams and relevant industry bodies to ensure involvement in decision making as related to learning, talent, and development requirements
- The key to being successful in this role is being able to deliver and execute strategic plans and projects.
Requirements:
- A track record of Learning Organisational Development preferably from the financial services industry
- Proven ability to deliver on strategic goals with a 'hands on' approach
- Experience in the use of the Group's performance systems and processes
- Sound experience in project/change management
- Proven experience working with global teams in large organisations
- customer focused with the ability to work with the customer to fully understand their needs
- Self motivated individual who displays a 'can-do' pro-active style
- Stakeholder engagement and influencing ability
- Proven experience of supporting a varied, challenging remit and being able to thrive in a dynamic environment
