Our client is looking for a high calibre candidate to lead a small legal and compliance team. You will be responsible for all ensuring that all staff are adequately trained on compliance and regulatory issues. On the compliance side you will be the go to person for Senior Management, you will run the department in accordance with industry best practices, and ensure that all regulatory responsibilities are met. You will be familiar with advising the business on latest compliance developments.
On the legal side you will be the primary point of contact for dealing with external legal counsel. You will liaise with Senior Management for all legal related issues, and have overall responsibility to ensure that the company is fulfilling its legal obligations.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- Bachelor's Degree, LLB/JD
- Specific experience in a legal/compliance role as a Senior Manager
- Strong experience in AML/KYC
- Team player who has a hands-on approach
- Prior experience of training
- Independent thinker who's able to challenge current processes and procedures
