HEAD OF LEGAL – DIRECTOR or above recruitment
Review and provide advice to the CEO and management committee on various contracts and agreements executed by the Company. Structure and establish the legal framework for both RMB onshore and offshore real estate funds and portfolio companies. Perform or supervise company secretariat functions for the Company, the funds managed by the Company as well as their portfolio companies. Set up and perform compliance functions for the funds and the fund management entity; work closely with shareholders and investors to meet their compliance and due diligence requests. Participate in structuring, negotiation, and documentation in project-level acquisition and exit transactions. Review and provide legal advice on various contracts and agreements executed by the fund management entity, the funds under management and the portfolio companies. Gather and analyze China real estate and fund management industry rules and regulations. Monitor legal and compliance requirements in global markets to diversify company's base and broaden fund raising target markets.
The ideal candidate should be a degree holder with at least 8 years of fund structuring and / or deal execution experience. Knowledge in China real estate industry and prior exposure in closing China deals. Bilingual in English and Chinese. Professional legal qualification in English law required, qualification in Chinese law a plus. Prior direct working experience in real estate, banking, or fund management industry a plus. Strong capability in multi-tasking, sound business judgement, enterprising spirit, and a good team player.
