Head of Legal recruitment

The successful candidate will have:

A minimum of 5 years of post qualification experience preferably in a bank or investment company
Possess excellent knowledge of Russian banking/Financial Markets legislatio
Have excellent communication skills
Speak native Russian and fluent English
Based in Moscow
Russian citizenship

Responsibilities:

Provision of full scale legal support of all Bank businesses in Russia/?IS/ Cyprus
Contract Commercial law: work with lowmediumhigh profile contract
Civil law administrative law: analysis of legislation; legal research; preparation of internal legal opinion
Ability to construe laws and regulations, as well as letters and clarifications of the state authoritie
Support of business in administrative andor regulatory procedure
Support of business in courts and administrative authorities
Corporate law; legal secretary role for the legal entity and affiliated representative offices
Management of outside counsel
Documentation support (dealing with day-to-day documentation, such as powers of attorney; communication with the notaries; document management with the legal dept, both hard copies and electronic files).
Legal English: translation of legislation, contracts, or other documentation; drafting of legal letters in Russian and English

Requirements:

Legal education with a reliable law university, and 7 – 9 years of experience
Managerial experience
Good knowledge of Russian/Cyprus civilcontractadministrative laws; familiarity with on every legal and regulatory aspect of investment banking laws and regulations is a plus
Fluent English; sufficient level of legal terminology
Good team player however able to work independently, leading projects (ex. litigations)
Willingness to understand the business; desire to work in IB business
Open-minded; good judgment and strong interpretation skills
Capable of cooperating with state administrative bodies
