Head of Major Risk recruitment
This is a high profile role reporting directly to the Head of Operational Risk UK. While this role is within operational risk it will suit a candidate from a quantitative background. The successful candidate will have a number of direct reports.
The Role:
- Work with internal stakeholders and with data sources to identify and develop the critical risks facing the bank.
- Implement the structure and methodologies for risk assessment of major exposures.
- Develop and implement the governance process for the Scenario Analysis activity.
- Monitor the results of risk assessments and scenario analyses.
- Ensure the bank meets regulatory requirements and expectations for the control of major risks.
The Candidate:
- Strong experience of scenario analysis, stress testing and capital adequacy modelling.
- Knowledge and experience of modelling for capital adequacy and the effects of risk events on the balance sheet.
- Possess knowledge of the activities of specialist functions such as Finance, Risk, IT and Marketing etc. to source specialist contributions and information.
- Track record of successful delivery in a similar role in investment or corporate banking, risk management or corporate development.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to challenge others.
- Comfortable presenting findings to senior personnel.
