HEAD OF MARKETING – EMEA recruitment
The role holder will work within the Global Marketing Function covering a variety of geographic regions and providing a wide array of services including Investment Communications, Client Management, Brand Management and Design together with eMarketing and Market Insight. As well as managing a small specialist team the role holder will be required to deliver a wide range of first-class activities to the retail fund clients across the UK and Europe. He/she will work in close collaboration with the Institutional Fund Marketing teams and will be expected to leverage skills and expertise from both this area and the overall business areas.
The ultimate objective of the role holder will be to establish the Company’s reputation as a premier brand through inspirational marketing activities, thought leadership and intelligent product positioning. The role will provide solid marketing direction and expertise and manage all forms of client communications on issues affecting the marketing and brand of the Company.
Core Responsibilities:
- Build market presence in the UK and European market, focusing on the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia and Germany.
- Manage, motivate and retain a team marketing professionals.
- Work with the Head of Brand and Head of Global Marketing to develop and deliver profitable strategic channel plans and budgets.
- Manage and implementation of a range of marketing activities.
- Manage and optimise regional marketing budgets and costs.
- Develop co-marketing campaigns with selected Distribution partners.
- Identify a series of process improvements and revenue-generative ideas to deliver excellent marketing practices.
- Work with Insight and Brand to drive understanding of client preferences / behaviour to shape strategy.
- Be an ambassador for Marketing: champion and support the implementation of the Global Marketing vision and help drive forward initiatives with sales teams and partners.

Core Requirements:
- Direct and substantial experience of managing global wholesale / institutional markets.
- Clear understanding of the mindset of a sales person and the client psyche.
- Solid grasp of all aspects of the marketing mix with a commercial orientation.
- Articulate and engaging with a solid grasp of the product range.
- Significant international experience in Marketing across asset management.
- A clearly proven track record of UK marketing achievement.
- Experience in both B2C and B2B marketing environments.
- Solid grounding in investment marketing and understanding of product offering.
- Ability to drive a range of marketing initiatives in a department undergoing change and growth.
- Operated successfully in a complex, fluid and matrixed environment.
- Degree plus possibly MBA.
