HEAD OF MARKETING – COMMERCIAL BANKING recruitment

Job Requirements

* Knowledge of banking and banking services/products such as ''Direct Private Placements'', ''cross-border transactions'' and ''commercial trading activities''
* Marketing and public relations skills
* Leading and coaching skills
* Communication, initiative, drive and control skills
* MBA, or equivalent
* Minimum of seven years' experience in the field

OVERALL PURPOSE OF FUNCTION

- To be the safe keeper of the overall positive image of the Bank - internally and externally.
- To be responsible for building and expanding the image of the Bank through advertising and collaboration with creative agencies.
- To monitor the market in the Banking medium for changes in trends or new products.

KEY AREAS OF ACTIVITY/RESPONSIBILITY

- Creation of a Marketing Plan, together with Annual Budget, and implementation of an appropriate progress reporting system for key personnel.
- Compliance with the Bank's rules and regulations.
- Plays an active role in the Bank generally and participates in senior projects, as required.
- Maintains good communication with colleagues and subordinates.
- Formulates marketing strategies, establishes marketing focus and sets policies and procedures.
- Designs and develops effective marketing programmes aimed at boosting sales, customer service and meeting the Bank's objectives.
- Assist with the launch of new products.
- Plans for conference attendance and design stands, and supervises their decoration for maximum impact.
- Plans for Bank displays and brochures for all Branches.
- Plans for attendance at, or support of, agreed sponsorship events.
- Trains and supervises the Marketing Team members.
- Collects, collates and completes relevant information about the competition and the market in general.

INTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS

- With all departments of the Bank that deal with/service/act upon, any issues, processes and procedures concerning customer service and business development.

EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS

- Manage and maintain relationships with advertising agencies.
- Manage and maintain coordination with creative agencies.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Excellent presentation and marketing management skills.

* Ability to communicate with staff and customers of various cultures and nationalities.

* Very good understanding of inter-bank markets.

* Good understanding of the banks organisation, its operations and products and services.

* Must be able to assume increasing levels of responsibility and challenge within a dynamic business environment.

* Must be a team player but must also possess the ability to work alone and act upon own initiative.

* Must have solid proven experience in multi-disciplined activity.

* Must possess international relations experience, working across diverse geopolitical business cultures
