Head of Media Relations-Asset Management recruitment

Reporting into the Director of Marketing Communications, the Head of PR Corporate Communications will be responsible for developing the Corporate Communications and Media relations strategy.
This is an excellent opportunity to shape the role and make it your own. The role will suit someone who is proactive, a self-starter and with an entrepreneurial mind-set
-Manage the UK press office and all relevant aspects of media engagement.
-Working closely with the Head of Marketing Communications and other managers, develop, implement and manage an effective PR plan in support of the company, its people, products and services.
-Manage relationships with PR agencies in other countries, ensuring messaging is consistent and timely.
-Counsel company spokespeople to deal effectively with the media, professional bodies and other key publics.
-Contribute strategic input when required towards issues identification and management.
-Develop and manage strong media relationships in key areas of industry. Keep abreast of forward features with a view to identifying opportunities to promote thought leadership and other brand-enhancing activities.
-Encourage an integrated approach to marketing and communications throughout the company in order to ensure that all such activities are aligned.
Experience required
-Extensive media relations/public relations experience with a demonstrable track record in building an effective PR programme/strategy, delivering measurable results
- experience should have been gained within the Investments industry (ideally investments related asset management, investment banking, hedge funds, alternative investments)
-A strategic thinker, you will be an effective scenario planner, helping management to anticipate how different audiences will react to different events, messages and change.
-Strong stakeholder management skills and comfortable working at Board level
-Ideally your Financial Services experience will have involved working with an Institutional client base
-UK and European/Global PR experience is essential-experience of Asia markets would be an advantage
