Head of Media Relations recruitment
Job Summary
Join the Asia Pacific Corporate Affairs team with a pan-regional role as our Head of Media Relations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing our media strategies including social media, at regional and country levels (ex China).
Your responsibilities will be to:

- act as media liaison and point of contact for all press enquiries in the region
- develop story angles for specific media targets
- pitch, monitor and follow up all SWIFT media interviews
- manage our relationships, budgets and contracts with third parties including public relations firms
- manage Asia Pacific media and marketing for Sibos
- be the Asia Pacific point of liaison to all SWIFT regional and global media relations teams
- provide media training and social media training for designated staff
- write press briefings and other public relations documents (in English) and produce media relations kits and staff biographies; edit/proofread written interviews
- manage our crisis communications procedures and policies in line with the relevant SWIFT protocols and teams
- ensure that our China media strategy and programme is aligned with our regional strategy
- maintain and/or establish relationships with targeted industry and other media professionals at country and regional level
- develop positive working relationships with media teams from our customer and extended stakeholder communities
Do you have what it takes?

- A university degree or equivalent experience
- At least 7 years' experience in corporate/marketing communications environment, of which 3 years as a media relations specialist
- Outstanding written English skill level including proven ability to write effective media pitches
- Experience working with senior executives during media interviews
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills across cultures
- Experience working/studying in at least one Asian country
- Proven ability to use social media in support of media relations and as a marketing tool in the b2b space
