Head of Mobile Development recruitment
The role demands a mixture of solid technology leadership, staff leadership, cross functional leadership and execution focused on delivering Mobile apps.
Required Skills
- Should have previous experience with building Mobile apps, using iOS, Blackberry and Android. Knowledge of HTML5 will be a huge plus.
- Should have solid experience with .NET data structures.
- Should have strong financial services background and should have architected and built applications for the financial services industry.
- Should have the ability to go deep into technology including running design reviews and code reviews.
- Experience managing agile teams with scrum will be an advantage.
- Should have solid experience with troubleshooting applications that are deployed on client machines.
Job Responsibilities
- The candidate will evaluate, recommend and build the application stack for deployment on the mobile platform
- Manage and lead a team of developers in NYC and possibly other global locations.
- Performance, Scale and Stability are key quality attributes of the application and the candidate should live and breathe these characteristics.
- As the technology leader for the application the candidate will develop and maintain a short term, medium term and long term technology strategy that takes into account emerging trends in the technology space.
- Work closely with the business and product managers to develop and refine application roadmaps.
- The Application is a central part of the product suite and the candidate needs to represent and evangelize the application to the larger technology organization - influence central strategies and roadmaps, and help make critical decisions about the role of the application
