Head of New York – Business Development recruitment

Assets can include: Jewelry, Luxury Watches, Gold, Art, Ultra Luxury / Classic Cars, Yachts, Fine Wine, Antiques etc. Highly qualified valuation professionals, formerly of Sotheby's and Christie's provide accurate appraisal against their assets. All assets will be stored in secure and insured vaults or specialty premises.

The Firm has ambitious business plans and has expanded into the US market. The firm seeks to recruit a Managing Director / Head of Office to develop the Tri-State New York region as well as set the foundations for further expansion of the US market.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the day to day activities of the New York office which will include sales, relationship management, local marketing initiatives, valuation services, and general operational issues.

• The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing new business development opportunities in the Tri-State New York.

• Building, managing and grooming existing and new sales staff to maximize business development opportunities in targeted business channels.

• Work closely with the CEO and contribute to the ongoing strategic development of the company

• Ensure the achievement of all objectives agreed with the CEO/Board, in particular sales, profit and client satisfaction levels

• Represent the firm in conferences, seminars and US media as needed.

Requirements

• 7 to 10 years of business management and strategy experience within a Financial Services platform are ideal. Candidates with a Business Services or Consumer Services background will be looked at as well. Ecommerce experience is a plus

• Candidate minimum of 7 years of Marketing and Business development experience with a track record of success as the candidate will drive the business including direct responsibility for the sales team and have accountability for its performance.

• Candidate must have strong leadership, decision making skills and be organized. Must have the ability to implement team, systems and process initiatives and bring structure to the business.

• Excellent communications and presentation skills are essential.
