Head of Office Malta Funds recruitment

Overview:

Responsible for the smooth day to day running of all aspects of fund administration services from the Malta office, including the client relationships and service delivery and take forward the opportunity to build a successful, profitable, risk controlled business.

Principal Responsibilities:

Strategic Development of the Malta Office:

Participate in the development and delivery of the strategic direction of the Malta office, particularly with regard to long term planning, medium term budgets and policy decisions.

Managing the Administration service delivery of the Malta office

Operational:

Maintain and develop the structure and reporting lines in the Malta office for all operational and administrative tasks.

Review the profitably of each client and each member of staff and report quarterly to the Managing Director

Act as the senior level of contact for ensuring and enhancing client services and services level expectations.

Ensure the timely planning and delivery of the client financial statements and management accounts.

Ensure the timely provision of all corporate secretarial services, particularly around board meetings.

People and Staffing:

Determine appropriate staffing levels in the context of existing and future workloads and ensure that candidates are recruited.

Motivate and direct staff, maintain quality control measures and seek to progressively develop and improve the performance of each member of staff.

Arrange for the necessary training facilities to equip staff to fulfil their responsibilities and develop their roles.

Ensure that agreed staff objectives and management goals are agreed and clearly stated.

Facilitate clear communications throughout the staff by weekly meetings to review work in progress.

Regulatory:

Ensure that Funds operate within their Investment Guidelines and meet their on-going statutory and regulatory requirements.

Monitor that Funds are run in accordance with the constitutive documents.

Ensure that regulatory and statutory reporting requirements are met.

Ensure that continuing obligations of stock exchange listed entities are met.

Business Development:

Assist in the production of presentations for new business opportunities and in compiling the fee quotations for such opportunities.

Co-ordinate the take-on of new business engaging the relevant team members to facilitate a timely and effective provision of set-up and on-going administration functions.

Attend new business presentations in conjunction with Directors and business development staff.

Attend marketing meetings with Directors and business development staff to target intermediaries such as lawyers and accountants.

Become integrated in the financial community in Malta and pursue opportunities for new business.

Key Requirements :

A professional qualification

Proven track record of people management

Financial services background

In depth knowledge of various fund types.

Business development experience
