Head of Operational Audit recruitment
The purpose of the role is to ensure that the Operational Audits of the entire group are run smoothly and efficiently, in line with current best practice. The successful candidate will be expected to risk assess the operational processes of the business (which will include business units, subsidiaries, and corporate support units), develop control policies and procedures, and write and present reports to the audit committee and senior management.
Given the focus on Operational Audit, candidates should have depth of exposure in Internal Controls and the management thereof. Experience in process and control implementation, as well as the writing of policy books will also be looked upon favourably. As a guide, the key accountabilities of the role will be, but will certainly not be limited to:
- Managing the execution of internal audits
- Developing testing programs
- Roll out new control policies and procedures
- Develop Control Policies and Procedures
- Identify Key Controls
- Create Process flow charts
- Create Risk Registers and heat maps
- Performance
- Management and Team Development
- Report the audit findings
- Track and report implementation progress
As a guideline, the successful candidates applying for this role will have a professional accountancy qualification (CA/ICAEW/ACCA), and preferably a CIA qualification. Those candidates with both a background in the Big 4 as well as current experience at Group Level of a large MNC will be looked upon favourably.
