About Our Client
Our client is one of the leading Financial Institutions Globally. Due to expansion in their global business, an outstanding newly created opportunity has arisen at a very critical senior position for effective execution and management of Risk and Control across their financial services centres. They are looking for seasoned professional with around 15 years of experience to join their team as Head of Risk.
Job Description
You will be responsible for driving the operational framework and managing the operational risk profile across all of the distinct and diverse businesses each with major inherent risk exposures. You would also be responsible for:
- To build and drive the implementation and management of the Operational and Regulatory Risk control framework.
- To continuously improve management of the Operational Risk framework across Business using global risk management tools such as RACA in identifying the need for adaptation of controls to meet changes in the risk profile and optimize balance between controls and risk.
- To work with Group Risk Functions on policy development.
- Effective and proactive risk management within business, ensuring Senior Management engagement with operational risk objectives.
The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant MUST possess expertise in operational risk and control, with an in depth understanding of risk frameworks, control environment and knowledge of risk and control failures. You should be a CA/MBA with minimum 14 years of relevant work experience.Strong understanding of Turnbull, Basel, SOX and other prevalent global regulations. In addition you should have experience of working in a change environment within Financial Services with the ability to operate and influence at executive level and build relationships with key stakeholders.
