Head of Operational Risk recruitment
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To update the operational risk framework as required.
• To develop operational risk management policies and procedures.
• To facilitate operational risk and control self assessments with departments.
• To review existing KRIs and identify and analyse relevant KRIs and other risk information.
• To maintain an operational risk management system
• To conduct training of new staff and refresh knowledge of existing staff.
• To record internal incidents, losses and near misses on an internal loss database.
• To introduce causal analysis on losses and events.
• To challenge and provide feedback on information provided by the business.
• To produce reports to an external loss database and interact as required with the administrators.
• To analyse outputs from operational risk reporting, identify and assess accumulation of key risks across the business.
EXPERIENCE:
• Masters degree or other relevant professional qualification.
• Familiarity with Basel II for operational risk.
• Exposure to and knowledge of Operational Risk issues, within a financial institution.
• Candidates will have demonstrable expertise in the supervision or management of operational risk.
• Candidates will have some experience or involvement in project implementations.
• Knowledge of Banking products and the workings of a Bank.
Excellent writing skills and command of English and German.
