Head of Operations / MO (Ops analyst to step up) – Hedge Fund – 45

The current COO must now focus on his duties of being a COO and also his key role in asset raising.  For that reason he is looking to hire an individual to take the operations / middle office remit off his hands. You are to run the operations / middle office function, currently managing one intern. You are also to have the remit to grow that function out over the next two years in line with expectation that the fund is to increase its AUM by four. The infrastructure is well setup, so your motivation should be to step up to lead a middle office function and to be the sole point of contact on all operational issues and the numbers produced, that is to all partners and PM’s at the fund.

This is a unique opportunity for an exceptionally strong operations analyst to leave a more established hedge fund with layers above him / her to instead fastrack his / her career progression. For that reason your personality, character and drive are key. You must have a passion for the hedge fund space. You must also have aspirations to be the head of operations and eventually a COO as this role is geared towards that progression as opposed to front office. That said that is a small, growing environment in which you are to work closely with all areas so the learning potential is huge.

The client is ideally looking to pay a 45k base salary. That is as the bonus potential is expected to be 50-100%. However the client could stretch to offer a 50k base salary for the right candidate.
