Head of Operations – Private Banking recruitment

Job Responsibilities:

Commercial/Business Orientation

This is a high exposure role that requires a very professional person that work hands-on with all middle to senior management. The candidate should be self-motivated, with good interpersonal skills.

Functional Knowledge

Functional knowledge/experience in back office support is required. Prior working experience in private banking as well as knowledge of internal controls, processes and front-to-back transactions systems are important. It would be beneficial if the person had previous experience in control functions within Middle Office, Trade Support, Operations, or an Audit type role of performing operational control risk assessments. Analytical thinking is required.

Professional Skills

This role requires good organizational skills to be able to plan and coordinate several tasks at one time. Attention to detail and quality of presentation is a must, especially since the reports produced will be used by senior management to assess their level of risk/supports.

Ability to communicate in English and with different departments within the Bank is important particularly to coordinate/facilitate meetings, and to obtain business related data from the line person and management. It will also be important to have excellent team work skills, given that coordination is required across regional offices.

Flexibility is a key element as is the ability to understand and react to changes in senior management's priorities.
