Job Title: Head of Origination - Crude
Location: Central London

Opportunity
Newly created role to develop overall Crude trading strategy globally.
Main Job Function
- Build and support a global Crude trading strategy;
- Develop growth strategy;
- Deal structuring and new product origination;
- Mentor Traders, arbitrage strategy;
- Implement new best practice.
Candidate Specification
- Degree from a leading university, PhD, MS a plus,in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, Econometrics, Finance or Computer Science.
- Experienced Originator for physcial Crude, some paper experience useful.
- Experienced Business Developer.
- Quantitative and analytical understanding of arbitrage strategy and how it impacts the business model of a Company.
- Knowledge of a wide range of Crude trading instruments.
- Strong analytical experience, specifically use of trading-specific systems, IT tools and electronic platform.
- Experience with development of one or more of the medium/high frequency statistical arbitrage trading strategies (e.g.mean reversion, analyst revisions, volume momentum, pairs, etc.)
- Knowledge of management techniques for non-market related risks such as credit, liquidity and operational.
- Knowledge of typical risk management methodologies e.g.VaR and stress testing analysis.
