Head of Portfolio Analytics- Equities recruitment
This major Sydney based bank is seeking an individual capable of independently reviewing and managing the risk across a number of their lending books. A highly unique analytical role, this position will have a key leadership function within the group and would be responsible for managing and developing a large team of Portfolio Analysts- focussing on the Margin lending and Equity Portfolios.
The Role:
The Portfolio Analytics team are responsible for monitoring the performance of the Equity and Managed fund portfolios, thus ensuring that equity and credit risk policy is adhered to and that any new risk is used to improve the review of new credit strategies, policies and procedures.
Key accountabilities are, but not limited to:
- Constant review and calibration of the Loan to Value Ratio models
- Continuous improvement of the securities list
- Identifying, measuring and reporting on equity and credit risk
- Analysis on credit submissions
- Support product development through analytics
- Develop a high performing team of credit and equity analysts
You will also be tasked to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders and customers to ensure a respected and sustainable working environment.
The candidate:
The following skills would ensure your success in being considered for this position:
- 10+ years experience in Portfolio Credit Risk Management or equity analytics
- It is imperative in this position that you have a history of strong leadership- i.e. managing and growing large and high performing teams.
- 7+ years prior experience in optimising a loan/asset book - equity and margin lending portfolio experience would be desirable
- Strong communication skills and an ability to form strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
