Team: Portfolio Client Implementation (PCI)

The PCI team is comprised of two groups (Portfolio Implementation Design and Portfolio Data Integrity Group) with separate but related mandates.

The focus of Portfolio Implementation Design is to enable product innovation and implementation; and ensure we operate in a globally-consistent, scalable and controlled manner. The focus of Portfolio Data Integrity Group is to ensure all portfolio implementations and change are understood and efficiently and accurately activated in core systems.

The team provides a highly valued consulting and implementation service which enables BlackRock to take on new business and meet clients' objectives as efficiently as possible. The team partners with many stakeholders across BlackRock, including Product Development, Global Client Group (GCG), Portfolio Management Group (PMG), Risk Quantitative Analysis and Business Operations to enable the launch and change to pooled products and separate accounts in a time-efficient, risk-controlled, client-focused, and cost-effective manner. The team also has significant exposure to external clients and their appointed custodians and administrators.

The team is critical to the firm's ability to build an environment within which clients' assets can be managed in a risk controlled manner. The breadth of the BlackRock business and growth in Multi Asset solutions mean that the team needs to interact with multiple groups within the organisation and contribute to establishing the portfolio for funding.


Role Description: Head of Portfolio Client Implementation, Asia Pacific
We are looking for a leader who is detail oriented, collaborative and proactive to join our team.
As a senior member of the Global PCI team, the role requires the individual to play a key role in driving forward the development of the team's mission and objectives and the deepening of PCI's services to our internal clients. The ability to understand the business and build credible relationships with senior decision makers across the firm is therefore critical.
As BlackRock evolve in Asia Pacific the candidate will need to partner with stakeholders across the region and globally to build out the team to ensure we are positioned to play a key role in contributing to the success of the firm
The key activities associated to the role include:


Experience skills

· Will have engaged with senior stakeholders/decision makers within an organisation managing/influencing expectations
· Ability to translate GCG and PMG requirements into fully functioning operating models with experience of the development and implementation of an investment capability/product, from initial idea through to launch
· Experience of working in a Global organisation providing services to international clients, with an understanding of the regulatory and market practice implications on the investment process
· Demonstrate a hands-on approach with strong project management skills. The candidate will need to have good problem solving skills, leading diverse project teams and working in a deadline driven environment
· Proven ability in developing and implementing robust processes and controls
· Knowledge of BlackRock's internal processes, products, and fund structures, preferred
· Ability to build relationships and work with people at all levels across BlackRock.
· Has a high level of self-motivation, with strong integrity ethics. Has the ability to be flexible and to adapt to changing circumstances as the business and group grows
· Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize.
· Capable of working independently, as well as an effective team player.

Qualifications:
· At least 7-10 years of experience, preferably within the investment management industry or alternatively in a closely related environment
