The Role
•Key responsibility is to structure potential unique business deals and customized solutions for key clients
•To conduct portfolio and pricing analysis for key client’s book
•To monitor and interpret all trends occur within the insurance/reinsurance industry
•To identify innovative ideas by researching in insurance/reinsurance industry, market publications, regulatory updates, industry events, product trends, etc.
•To actively discuss with clients, as well as facultative and treaty underwriters on new product development trends
•To screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potentials and financials
•Partnering with underwriting heads, to identify and triage business development and growth opportunities
•To close new business deals by coordinating requirements internally
Your Profile
•Degree holder in Actuarial Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Sciences/Finance and /or ACII qualification or equivalent; alternatively candidates with relevant experience and proven track record may also be considered.
•Minimum of 10 years of Actuarial experience preferably with 3 to 5 years spent in Insurance/Reinsurance industry
•Strong knowledge of Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) Solutions will be an asset
•Possesses good knowledge of the risk landscape in the underlying industries as well as a familiarity with the markets, the distribution systems and of the key players
•Strategic mindset - identifies and develops long term and integrated solutions and is able to sees the links and interdependencies
•Strong analytical, critical thinking skills and highly numerate
•Solution integrator - demonstrates creative value propositions and thinks out-of-box; Adapts solutions that ‘fit to purpose’ and balances both lagging and leading data
•Decisive. Is bold and commits to recommendations and decision
•Highly driven to close deals. Perseveres with alternatives till closure
•Exceptional written, oral and presentation communication abilities
•Expertise with Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
