Head of Private Equity for a leading business in Jersey
Background
The Jersey office is going to be the company’s centre of excellence for Private Equity. The main Focus of the business for the following few months will be the enhancing of their Alternative systems, process and product offering in order to provide a frame work for the company’s growth and service quality.
As Head of Private Equity your main tasks will be to lead all operations services within the Channel Islands and Isle of Man area. You will be the expert on all Alternatives Fund Services products offered by the company, as well as being the one leading and delivering the requirements for the local business.
Apart from operating at Director Level, you will also be responsible for developing the client services, technical capabilities, and the operational.
In addition to that, a very interesting part of the Job would be the Business Development part, in which you would be responsible for the alternatives book of business’s growth.
Your main responsibility will be to motivate and manage the staff, and to ensure a good level of productivity, as well as efficiency.
As already mentioned, since the company is eagerly looking to grow within the Private Equity Funds Industry, and transform their Jersey office into THE Private Equity base, they will need to grow the team within the next 6 to 12 months. This is where you will have a very important role to play, as you will be responsible to build, steer, shape and grow the team.
Taking in consideration that you will only report to the COO, you will become the senior lead and point of contact for new as well as already exciting clients.

COMPETENCIES AND ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- University degree
- At least 8 – 10 years of experience in Private Equity.
- Fluent in English, another language will be considered an asset.
- Good communication skills, problem solver, strong analytical skills, ability to take decisions, indentify problems and provide appropriate solutions, high quality standards and good networking skills.
- Client focussed and good client management skills
