Head of Product Control (AVP/VP) – Prop Trading House

Given a successful 2012, an increase in front office headcount and a large increase in volumes, the client is looking to hire an established IB product controller to assist the FD in building out a controls function. You are to work closely with the technology team to get to the stage in which all daily production is completed by an in house system that is being built out. The core remit of the function will be high level review and analysis work around PL, Risk and Valuations (monthly review). You are to perform the daily duties of the function, whilst also building a team around you.

The nature of the role and remit means that you are to work closely with all areas if the organisation. Most notably you will be the key point of contact to head traders, partners, chair risk committee meetings and you will face off to key external stakeholders.

It is essential that you are an AVP or VP level product controller with exceptionally strong product knowledge in the fixed income space, across both flow and exotics. Ideally you will be a credit specialist. In addition to being an excellent communicator, you must have the right personality to work in a highly accountable role in what is a fast paced, challenging working environment.

The client is looking to pay a base salary in line with an IB VP salary, with a bonus that far exceeds that of an IB.
