Head of Production Support
Our client, a leading global banking group are looking for a Head of Production Support to be based in Pune, India. The client is open to seeing experienced candidates both Indian nationals and Exaptriates.
You will be responsible for production support for the Equity and FO Trading applications in front Office, Middle and Back Office. This role has the overall responsibility for managing Production Support. This is a hands-on role, and the individual needs to be well versed with technology, bug fixing and troubleshooting issues, whilst providing leadership to the production support teams.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Manage a team of Support Managers and Leads and interact with Business/IT managers and teams to understand IT business strategies and their implication to application being supported.
• Accountability to IT Management for end to end application implementation and post-implementation support for all changes to production applications.
• You will oversee Release Management and installs of major changes into production including the final production acceptance review.
• You will proactively monitor production tickets, trend analysis and identify areas of improvement for batch and online routines, productivity improvements for production support resources, manage performance tuning initiatives and effective utilization of production resources
To be successful you will have:
Domain Experience:
- Mandatory - experience working in an Equities Brokerage environment..
- Mandatory – experience managing an Application Support Team.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of Equity Front Office/Back Office Products (order management System, Sales Trading, Algorithmic trading, Settlement Systems).
Communication and Management skills:
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills in English.
- If in addition to English any French Language skills will be highly regarded
- Ability to lead and work with teams across multiple locations and time zones
Technical Skills:
- Have good RDBMS, SQL, PL/SQL, Unix, Perl, Java skills
- Should have experience on open system applications design, development and support.
- Exposure to midrange applications will be an added advantage.
