Exceptional opportunity for an experienced Head of Programmes / Programme Director to join the financial services industries leading brokerage house in London.
You will be joining in a senior position reporting directly to the CIO of this fast paced and highly successful global organisation.
The appointed Head of Programmes (PMP, Six Sigma, CMMI, Prince2) will be:
- Responsible for a programme area of 5-10 projects
- Giving strategic input on project management, methodology, reporting and delivery
- Defining a project lifecycle roadmap for both major and minor projects (Project size will vary)
- Driving project programme efficiency progress
- Applying recognised bespoke project management methodologies across the programme area, making sure project managers are able to run their projects effectively and successfully
- Determining project initiation from business cases budgetary planning while adhering to the overall technology roadmap of the organisation
- Ensuring there is a continuity of methodology across the programme area

To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, you must:
- Have managed programmes of projects of varying size in the financial services IT industry
- Have had responsibility for managing both programme and project managers (This could be from previous roles as Head of Programmes, Programme Lead, Programme Director or Senior Programme Manager)
- Be a subject matter expert on multiple recognised project methodologies (CMMI, Prince 2, PMI, PMP, MPS, Six Sigma etc) and be able to clearly recognise the benefits and relevance of these methodologies
- Have some experience of project roadmap definition
- Be able to demonstrate exceptional leadership of project managers, business personnel and other project staff including experience in coaching senior programme and project managers
- Be knowledgeable around banking / capital markets / brokerage and the technologies and business surrounding these areas of the financial services industry
The successfully appointed Head of Programmes will be paid a basic salary of around £140'000 in addition to a performance related bonus that can exceed 25% - this is in addition to an industry leading benefits package.
