The Company
Our Client, a leading European Reinsurer is seeking a Head for Property and Casualty Underwriting South East Asia as part of their expansion plans.

The Role
As the head, you will have Overall responsibility for the Non Life Reinsurance Business of SEA. The focus is on growing the current portfolio and ensuring that we remain client focused and meet all stretched targets and Business Plans. To work closely with Head of PC SID as well as Heads of the other BUs within SID to ensure talent development, high performance cross functioning teams and support of all Asia Initiatives.

Responsible for the smooth operations of Singapore Branch both externally and internally. Responsible for SEA business development including supporting KL Branch. Develop and manage all aspects of relationship with clients including marketing, underwriting, admin and account monitoring in SEA. Recommend and implement reinsurance solutions for individual clients. Communicate marketing objectives, strategies and plans for each client company to the relevant staff and facilitate the sharing of information on ongoing activities.

Your Profile
To succeed in this role, you will need a recognised degree with minimum 8 years' relevant experience in a multinational company. Solid general (re)insurance knowledge and underwriting expertise of min 10 years. Proven analytical skills with ability to solve technical issues in a pragmatic way. Commercial instinct and high level negotiation skills. Familiarity with South East Asia's culture and business environment. Ability to work in a team environment and to manage cross functional teams of various seniority. Ability to analyse issues fully, making sound decisions, and setting a clear direction. Establishing realistic plans, monitoring progress, and managing execution to ensure the right results.
