Head of Quality Assurance recruitment
Our client, a financial services risk software firm is seeking a combined subject matter expert in QA and an excellent leader and manager of people to create and lead the QA function.
In this role, the candidate will drive the effort to design and implement a Quality Assurance framework that will encompass all phases from design concept, development and product delivery through installation and client support. This will include identifying and selecting the right automated tools and people to accomplish the task.
The ideal candidate with have:
• Created a best practices QA function in at least one technical data intensive financial services software environment.
• Be a true QA subject matter expert as demonstrated by both theoretical and academic knowledge and credentials
• a bias for a structured methodical approach while being flexible to use non- structured and methodical approaches when warranted
• previously worked in partnership with Financial Engineers, Developers and Client Support staff to ensure a quality product.
Requirements:
- Quantitative Degree with a high level of theoretical and practical experience
- 10 years experience in Quality Assurance in a Financial Services firm
- Technology: UNIX, Java, SQL
- Experience with automated tools; QTP, Jira, Selenium, etc.
- Designing test plans
- Writing test scripts
- Strong Regression Testing
- Debugging
- Quantitative Mathematical knowledge is a plus
