Head of Quantitative Model Risk recruitment

You will need to plan and execute the independent testing and validation of the model implementation according to the bank's standards and to produce the documentation required for approval by the relevant governance committees and external regulators.

Key Roles Responsibilities
* Conduct and oversee the review and validation of the bank's IMM model as per policy.
* Liaise with the model's quantitative developers to ensure speedy review and validation of new model features.
* Understand local and global regulatory requirements and be aware of market environment / practices that will impact the IMM model.
* Develop, review and ensure compliance with the bank's policies and methodologies for IMM.
* Establish and maintain relationships with internal audit units, external auditors and regulators.
* Develop a quality team via:
- Effective communication
- Business focus
- Succession planning
- Adequate staff development training

Qualifications Skills
The holder of the position must be:
- Educated to at least an MSc in mathematics, statistics, physics or a related experience.
- Possess excellent analytical skills and knowledge of stochastic calculus, Monte Carlo simulations and PDE modelling.
- Able to forge a good working relationship with his peers in the UK and Singapore
- Able to manage the workload and priorities of his team and guide them in their day to day tasks
- Able to manage the key relationships of the role within or outside GMR
The holder of the role must also have:
- Sound judgement in assessing the strength and weaknesses of modelling approaches.
- Very strong programming skills, particularly in C++.
- Significant previous experience developing or validating derivative pricing models.
- Good relational skills to communicate issues to the IMM team and Group Risk management.
