Opportunity

MG are looking to recruit a Senior Development Manager to head up MG's RAD Team.

MG have a well established and successful RAD Team serving multiple internal Clients. The work load for this Team has grown significantly over the years and the Team now comprises 20+ Analyst Developers. The Team currently develop both fast turn around systems and more complex systems, whilst also providing 2nd and 3rd line support for all the systems that they have built.

We expect the RAD Team to continue to grow both in size and in importance. As MG grows in scale and complexity then we are also expecting an increase in demand for more complex bespoke systems. Furthermore, given the concerns over UDAs and the extra value added benefits of having systems built by professional Developers, it is expected that demand for fast turn around solutions will also increase.

The Head of RAD is a Senior role, reporting directly to the Head of Development. The successful individual will be expected to demonstrate strong management and leadership capabilities. Given that the Team delivers many systems to multiple Clients, the Head of RAD will need to be skilled in managing multiple stakeholders in a demanding environment.

The RAD Manager is expected to identify and articulate a vision for RAD at MG that meets current needs and also positions the team for the future. The RAD Manager is expected to communicate with key stakeholders via formal and informal means.
