Head of Research and Product Development, QNB First recruitment

The incumbent will support with driving the frontline performance through, effective and targeted sales campaigns, channels strategies, sales training and incentive programs and cross sell activities based on market needs and existing customer portfolio behavioral dynamics      

Essential Duties Responsibilities by Dimensions:

A.      Shareholder Financial:

-          Develop and implement product strategies in conjunction with Global Head, QNB First and Senior Manager Relationship Management to help achieve agreed budgets, sales and revenue target for QNB First.   

-          Analyze portfolio behavior in order to determine segment product preferences to develop new products, enhance existing products to enforce market leadership and to attract new business.

-          In conjunction with Senior Manager Relationship Management to agree on sales budgets and incentive plans and coverage for CRE teams for assigned product lines and to develop and implement product performance monitoring mechanisms to gauge preference.

-          Provide inputs to the pricing strategies for product lines and responsible for implementation of these strategies.  

-          Through data mining and information gathering spot product cross sell opportunities and develop effective programs utilizing various channels to deepen customer share of wallet 

-          Analyze portfolio behavior and competitor trends to formulate retention strategies to minimize attrition and to grow the client portfolio.

  B.  Customer (Internal External):

-          Based on market and competitive analysis to devise a strong product strategy for QNB First

-          Determine customer preferences through data mining and information gathering to match the products with customer needs.

-            Ensure successful sales campaigns and product coverage.

-          Spearhead learning and development activity of staff and help devise and implement performance matrices

-          Build and maintain strong relationship with Bank’s external partners and internal depts. to support QNB First objectives and strategies

-          Ensure information disclosed on QNB WEB Site product brochures, annual reports and the other means of communication is accurate, timely and complete

-          Support unit in report and MIS generation, performance management information and business updates

C.      Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):

-          Responsible for all processes and approvals for launch of new products and that same are in compliance with legal and regulatory policies and procedures, both internal and external   

-          Responsible for management of product lines in terms of roll out, marketing, sales performance monitoring and staff training and incentivization

-          Manage the Research and intelligence gathering unit and ensure the market and customer information is translated into highly effective and tangible product and sales strategy and action  

D. Learning Knowledge:

-      Identify areas for professional development of self and act to enhance professional development.

Education/Experience Requirements:

-          Bachelor’s degree.

-          At least 8 years financial experience with a strong knowledge of IT and product development

-          Well-informed of the market competitive structure, industry practices and regulations for the wealth management segment.

-          Skilled in Data Mining and excellent analytical abilities to translate data into effective strategy

-          Able to effectively develop creative solutions to complex product and client issues

Required Special Skills:

-          Highly Service oriented with the ability to work within a multicultural environment

-          Good understanding of the high net worth segment, its needs and expectations.

-          Good oral and written communication skills (including report writing presentations) in English and Arabic (preferable).

-          Strong team player who possesses excellent ability to effect change and convince others

Operating Environment/ Location:

-          The referenced position will be based within distribution network in Qatar and will involve liaison with the support functions at HO..

-          Relevant regulatory pronouncements of the applicable local and international regulators and related best practices pertaining to retail banking.

-          Delegated authorities as per the delegation of authorities’ structure.

-          Divisional and departmental managers of Retail Banking and all other related departmental managers.
