Museums Galleries Scotland are the national development body for the museum sector in Scotland. As Head of Resources, you will lead on all aspects of financial, operational and corporate management within the charity, ensuring compliance with corporate and financial governance . Reporting to the Chief Executive and managing a small but diverse team (Finance, HR, IT, Administration and Business and Skills development), you will provide strategic leadership on the investment (grants) programme, create opportunities for new business and income streams and ensure robust financial management, risk management, and financial controls are embedded at strategic and operational level. As a key member of the senior management team, you will support the development and implementation of the overall vision, policies, and strategic plan for the organisation.

With a finance or business qualification, you will be a strong staff manager with a proven track record in financial management and governance, coupled with grants experience either within an awarding body or as a beneficiary of restricted funding. With excellent communication and negotiation skills, you will have a pro-active and customer focused approach and ideally have previous experience of managing the wider corporate services function out with finance.
