Head of Restructuring

Reporting to, and providing support to, the Chief Executive, the Head of Restructuring will oversee the day to day management of the Restructuring Team. Engaging with credit unions and third parties, the postholder will facilitate agreement and implementation ofrestructuring proposals and develop and implement solutions that will enable the development of a world classcredit union sector in the Republic of Ireland.

Principal Responsibilities

Restructuring:

·         Engage with credit unions to facilitate agreement and provide assistance in developingand preparing restructuring proposals and plans;

·         Oversee the implementation of restructuring plans including the provision of post-restructuringsupport;

·         Monitor performance of restructuring projects and stakeholder relationships to ensurehigh quality Management Information produced as required for internal external reporting;

·         Consider and assess restructuring plans, including any funding requirements, and tosubmit them to the executive for board approval;

·         Assessing credit unions to be considered for stabilisation support;

·         Developing best practice guides for the credit union sector.

Operational/Other Activities:

·         Manage the Restructuring Team and deputise for the Chief Executive;

·         Define and manage reporting timetables to ensure all deadlines are met;

·         Support the training and development of other members of the Restructuring Team;

·         Manage relationships with third parties to verify information provided in Credit Union restructuring plans.

Competencies

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: people management, leadership, motivation, change management, judgement, planning/organising, teamwork, oral/written communication and computer skills.

Education and Experience

·         A strong academic record with a recognised third level and/or professional qualification in a relevant discipline.

·         10 years’ experience in a management role, preferably within credit unions, financial services or other relevant sectors;

·         Exposure to large scale organisational change;

·         Management experience is required.

Duration: Contract to end of 2015
